The President approved additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the postponement of holidays in 2020
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on November 14, 2019, which established additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and approved the transfer of holidays in 2020.
Additional days off in 2020:·
- Monday March 23rd.
Transfer of days off in 2020:
- from Saturday January 4 to Thursday January 2;
- From Saturday, August 29 to Monday, August 31.
The document determines that Thursday January 2 and Monday August 31, 2020 are non-working days for all employees, regardless of the type of work week.
In budgetary organizations, the additional non-working day is compensated by reducing the duration of the annual labor leave of employees by one working day.
The State Committee for Tourism Development together with the Youth Union, Council of the Federation of Trade Unions, Uzbekistan Airways and Uzbekistan Railway, The Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the regions and Tashkent instructed to organize routes of domestic tourism and outdoor activities, taking into account the extension of non-working days with promotions and discounts on transport and hotel services.
